Professor Kevin Morgan - Associate Member of BRASS

Career Experience and Qualifications

Kevin Morgan is a Professor of European Regional Development, member of the Urban and Regional Governance Research Group and Director of the Regeneration Institute; he is an associate member of BRASS. He was educated at the University of Leicester and Unviersity of Ontario, and received his PhD from the University of Sussex in 1982. Kevin has been with Cardiff University since 1989 and previously worked as a research fellow at the University of Sussex.

Research Areas of Interest

Innovation and Regional Development; Devolution and the Multi-Level Polity; Sustainable Agri-Food Chains; Regeneration and Self-Managed Communities.

Research Projects

Professor Morgan works on a range of projects which currently include The Welsh Assembly and the Governance of Economic Development Innovation and Quality in the Food Chain, Strengthening the Regional Dimension Steel Communities Study, Implications for Employment, Learning and Regeneration Social Innovation, and Governance and Community Building.
