Jared Davies - PhD Scholar

PhD Title

Jared is currently working on his PhD thesis, focusing on the development of full cost accounting as a technique to place a monetary value on the social and environmental impacts of organisations.

Career Experience and Qualifications

Jared is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting at the University of Wales, Newport. He studied Economics at the University of Warwick, and then trained as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, gaining six years experience in auditing practice and attaining the role of Audit Manager. Jared’s teaching career began in December 2000 when he joined Newport Business School. He teaches a number of papers across the ACCA and CIMA professional courses, and specialises in corporate reporting, auditing, and corporate governance.

Research Interests

Accounting for corporate sustainability, corporate governance and corporate social responsibility, current developments in financial reporting.
