An important aspect of business sustainability is the promotion of wellbeing and welfare, for workers, consumers and other stakeholders. BRASS has developed research projects examining a variety of different aspects of welfare and work, particularly in the field of work-life integration where Professor Paul Blyton has played a leading role in organising an international network of researchers. Other aspects of welfare and wellbeing include work on ethical trading and the promotion of worker rights with the supply chain; research into human rights and business; and a project looking at understanding wellbeing from a young person’s perspective.
